Factual Reports ::

For consulting engineers preparing investigation reports for sites which have a mining element, and who wish to submit an integrated report to their client, I can carry out basic factual drilling investigations supplemented at no extra cost with my local and geological knowledge, and my experience of mining hazards.

For example, contamination consultants might find there is a mining aspect to an environmental investigation.
I can quickly obtain the necessary Coal Authority Indemnity, drill the site and provide borehole logs with additional notes of mining information.

Contract Drilling ::

I can drill holes upto 120mm diameter and 30m deep in any material or rock strata using rotary percussive, sampling, or auger techniques.

The rig is a Montabert Hydrofore, weight 6.5 tonnes, width 2.1m.

I am able to drill exploration holes, grout holes, standpipe installations and soil sampling holes.

I am the only rig operative, and I take great care not to damage sensitive sites with unnecessary tracking.
The Unimog I use for travel to site is mostly kept parked off the site, again to minimse surface disruption.

Soil Sampling ::

The rig is equipped with window sampling equipment and can intall gas monitoring points for environmental investigations.

Personal Protection Equipment ::

I am wearing PPE coming off a site:

safety helmet
eye protection
ear protection
safety boots
yellow personal gas monitor on my right, black audible man-down alarm with cable-pull on my left
hi-viz jacket
reinforced crawler suit
protective gloves

not shown is my mobile phone inside my jacket and the iPad for logging in my leg pocket
